The government requires the instructor to possess a minimum of ten 10 years of competitive formation skydiving experience, a minimum of 5,000 competition jumps, demonstrated experience coaching advanced formation skydiving FS teams, experience competing at national and/or international championship-level events, demonstrated experience conducting video-based performance debriefs, and comprehensive knowledge of United States Parachute Association (USPA) and Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) competition rules.
