The Peoria Park District is seeking bids for 2025 pool
chemicals. Bids are due Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 2:30 PM local prevailing Peoria time. Sealed bids are to be received at the office of the secretary of the board. Delivery locations include the Gwyn family aquatics center, Riverplex recreation and wellness center, Proctor center, and Greater Peoria family YMCA. Specific delivery requirements (pumping from vendor's truck to holding tanks) are detailed in the scope of work. Bidders must comply with various laws and regulations, including the Copeland Anti-kickback Act, Illinois Human Rights Act, and Freedom of Information Act. Additional documents (e. g. , certifications of compliance, insurance certificates) are required and must be submitted with the bid. The district reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to negotiate contract terms with the successful bidder. The bid closing time will be based upon central standard time or central daylight time, whichever is in effect on the date the bid is due. Prices quoted must be firm prices, including packaging, transportation, placement, and assembly costs. The Peoria Park District is exempt from federal, state, and local taxes. Standard terms are net 60. Any changes, additions, or deletions to the bid documents will be issued in the form of a written addendum. All communication or questions pertaining to the bid shall be directed to the purchasing supervisor via email. Each bid must be signed by the bidder or an authorized agent. Delivery prices are free on board (f. o. b. ) to the location specified in the minimum specifications. Deliveries will be accepted between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday unless specified in the scope of work. The district reserves the right to adjust quantities ordered, at bid price, depending on need. The contract period is May 1, 2025, through April 30, 2026. Orders will be placed on an as-needed basis via issuance of a purchase order number. Invoices must be submitted via email or mail to the purchasing office. The Peoria YMCA is allowed to purchase identical items at the same price and upon the same terms and conditions under an intergovernmental agreement. Termination for default is possible if the vendor fails to perform the work to the standards or does not complete the assigned work within reasonable times.
