The estimated period of performance for the supply of swords and scabbards is from 9/15/2026 to 9/14/2031.

The quality of the articles to be supplied, their conformity with specifications, their suitability to the requirements of the park district and the delivery terms will be taken into consideration in making the award. The business will be awarded to the vendor meeting specifications and offering the lowest cost overall for all items.

The board reserves the right to reject the bid of any bidder if the board believes that it would not be in the best interest of the park district to make an award to that bidder, whether because the bid is not responsive or the bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the park district. The park district may make such investigations as the park district deems necessary to assist in the evaluation of any bid and to establish the responsibility, qualifications, and financial ability of bidders to perform and furnish the materials and/or services in accordance with the contract to the park districts satisfaction within the prescribed time.

Any vendor who desires a site visit for the purpose of inspecting buildings and/or equipment must schedule such visit with the purchasing supervisor.

For example, product cut sheet, photocopy of product label, etc. If staff is unable to make a determination whether product is an approved equal, a sample may be required and shall be at the expense of the vendor.
