The City of Worcester, MA, is seeking proposals for professional aquatic facility maintenance management services for municipal pools, spray facilities, beaches, and fountains. The contract will be for a six-year period, starting from the contract signing date and ending December 31, 2031, contingent on funding availability. Proposals must be submitted by March 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM local time. A non-mandatory site visit is scheduled for March 19, 2026, at 10:30 AM. The city encourages participation by minority and women-owned business enterprises (MWBE). The city will evaluate proposals based on mandatory and comparative evaluation criteria. The contractor must provide a warranty for all equipment and services. The contractor must employ a certified aquatic professional superintendent. The contractor must provide a written maintenance plan. The contractor must provide all materials, including, but not limited to such items as pool chemicals, paper towels, toilet paper, paper product holders, hand soap, litter baskets trash, garbage bags, cleaning supplies, testing kits, insurance, etc. , as needed for the maintenance of each aquatic facility, fountain and restrooms lifeguard facilities or as mentioned anywhere in the contract. The contractor is liable for all damage done to the aquatic facility and the entire area around the facility through the use of chemicals or the spillage of chemicals, etc. , the contractor shall immediately address and repair damage. The contractor is also liable for personnel and equipment damage to the facility while under contract. The contractor shall use suitable equipment to prevent such damage. The contractor must provide a weekly schedule with daily cell phone contact information for the supervisor on call of work to the commissioner or designee one week prior to the date the schedule starts. The city reserves the right to cancel this contract at any time in the event of default or violation by the contractor of any of the provisions of this contract.
