Construction project for railroad crossing improvements and closures in Longmont, CO. Bids are due by June 30, 2026, 2:00 PM MT. An optional pre-bid conference is scheduled for June 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Bids must be submitted electronically via the Rocky Mountain e-Purchasing System. Contractors must have prior experience in similar projects. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Bids must be received electronically no later than June 30, 2026, prior to 2:00 PM MT.
The contractor is responsible for the repair or replacement of all work performed under the contract for a period of one year after the issuance of the certificate of acceptance or until all warranty work is completed, whichever occurs last.
The award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder, considering factors such as ability, capacity, skill, promptness, character, integrity, reputation, judgment, experience, efficiency, quality of performance on previous contracts, sufficiency of financial resources, and quality of supplies or services.
Contractors must have successfully completed at least two qualifying projects of similar scope and complexity in the last 8 years. The project and on-site representatives must also have equivalent experience.
Liquidated damages will be charged if the project is not completed as specified. The amount will be based on CDOT road and bridge specifications.
A pre-bid conference is optional and will be held on June 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM via Microsoft Teams.
Bidders may be disqualified for failing to comply with qualification criteria, collusion, or unsatisfactory performance on previous city contracts.
