Lot 1: Bid Specifications: Republic Steel Shelving or a comparable substitute. Republic Steel Shelving is currently being used. Quoted comparable substitute must be interchangeable with current shelving. Shelving must be gray and able to hold at a minimum of 310 pounds. Vendor shall assume all costs, provide all materials and labor to transport, assemble, and install shelving to manufacturers specifications on site. Any unused materials will remain on site as property of Kentucky Department of Libraries and Archives ( KDLA). 428 units, 15 shelves high each ( 16 feet) shelves 42W X 30D Description t t t tQty Double Faced Integral Back Shelving - **** Side braces - **** Back braces - **** L- shaped posts - 856 Beaded posts ( full height) - 856 Clip Sets - **** Column Protectors ( if the ones we have remaining from previous builds are not suitable) - 30 The Vendor or the Vendors freight handler, without fail, will contact KDLA three or more days in advance of the delivery, via email and telephone ( contact information shall be provided after award), to ensure that KDLA staff are available and on site to facilitate vendors unloading, assembly, and installation of the shelving. Loading dock is available for unloading and pallet jack is available for use. The vendor will need to provide any other needed equipment, such as a forklift. The Vendor will ensure that it has calculated and shipped the correct number of specific parts ( shelves, side braces, back braces, posts, and clips) for this installation, as detailed above. In installation, side braces will not be substituted for back braces, and back braces will not be substituted for side braces. Instead, the correct brace will be used in the appropriate place, and the Vendor will ensure that it has calculated and shipped a sufficient quantity of the appropriate braces and all other parts so that this accomplished, without any substitution.
