Contractor to replace intercommunication systems at 20 consular windows and paging system for waiting areas at the U. S. Embassy Jerusalem. Work includes removal of existing equipment, installation of new two-way intercommunication systems with microphones, speakers, and control units, and a paging system. A site visit will be offered during the bid submission period. The contract will be a firm fixed price. Pricing must include all costs. Work will be performed in stages to minimize disruption. Contractor must provide a performance schedule, proposed work information, qualifications, certifications, experience, and past performance. Product and material specifications must be provided. After contract award, a notice to proceed will be issued. Contractor personnel will require security clearances and must adhere to strict standards of conduct. All project-developed software, files, and documentation become the property of the U. S. Government. Contractor is responsible for daily cleaning of the work area and removing debris weekly. Contractor must follow all U. S. and local construction codes, regulations, procedures, and OSHA safety standards. Contractor personnel must wear identification badges and no cellphones are allowed inside the building. The contractor warrants all equipment and installation for 1 year from final acceptance. Spare parts are required.
This is a firm fixed price contract payable entirely in dollars. Prices for all contract line item numbers (CLINs) shall include all costs associated in accordance with this scope of work. No additional sums will be payable for any escalation in the cost of materials, equipment, or labor, or because of the contractor's failure to properly estimate or accurately predict the cost or difficulty of achieving the results required. The contract price will not be adjusted due to fluctuations in currency exchange rates.
Contractor warrants all equipment and installation to be free of faulty workmanship, defects, improper adjustments, and from damage. Manufacturer agrees to repair, restore, or replace work and equipment that fails in materials or workmanship within the specified warranty period, including all costs, parts, and labor. The warranty period is 1 year from the date of final acceptance.
Offerors must submit a technical proposal including a performance schedule, proposed work information, qualifications, certifications (e. g. , manufacturer authorized representative, certified technology specialists, DSP software and control product engineers), experience, and past performance. They must also demonstrate adequate financial resources and a satisfactory record of integrity and business ethics.
A site visit will be offered during the bid submission period. All interested bidders can visit the project site at their expense prior to submission of a project proposal. All interested bidders may inspect the site during the scheduled site visit and observe the existing conditions to prepare an accurate bid.
The government reserves the right to deny access to U. S. owned and U. S. operated facilities to any individual. Contractor employees must adhere to standards of conduct; failure to comply may result in removal from the worksite. Neglect of duties, disorderly conduct, intoxication, and criminal actions are unacceptable.
