The City of Framingham invites sealed bids for a cooperative bid for road salt (sodium chloride) and/or treated rock salt. Bids must be submitted electronically via the city's bidnet portal by 10:00 a. m. on September 17, 2026. The contract term is one year, from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027. The contractor must provide a 24/7 customer assistance telephone number and ensure salt deliveries are made within three calendar days from the order date. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder, with the right to award up to three bidders for each salt type.
