Proposers must demonstrate a minimum of five years of experience in strategic communications, public engagement, and/or public awareness campaigns, with demonstrated experience serving public health departments, healthcare systems, or similar organizations. a minimum of five 5 years of experience providing strategic communications, public engagement, andor public awareness campaign services.

Proposals are due no later than 12:00 PM CST on Monday, August 10, 2026.

The authority intends to award an agreement to the most qualified proposer that will best be able to provide the services required, considering qualifications and experience, quality of personnel, approach and work plan, MWBE utilization, and proposed fees.

Proposers must demonstrate expertise in public relations, strategic communications, crisis communications, reputation management, stakeholder engagement, media relations, thought leadership, public affairs, consumer public relations, and event amplification, with relevant project experience and work product samples.

Proposers must provide 3 to 5 relevant work product examples and writing samples, including press releases, crisis communication statements, thought leadership articles, media pitches, and consumer-facing campaign examples. A custom writing sample highlighting innovation at McCormick Place is also required.

Protests or challenges concerning the process, ambiguities or defects of the RFP must be submitted within seven (7) calendar days after publication of the RFP. Protests concerning the selection of the successful proposer must be asserted within seven (7) calendar days after the notification of award.

Proposals received after the deadline may be deemed nonresponsive and ineligible for consideration. Contacting MPEA employees other than the procurement department regarding this RFP may jeopardize the integrity of the procurement process and/or require disqualification.
