Contractors must be qualified and licensed. he city of renton is soliciting bids from the mrsc small works roster for qualified and licensed contractors

The work must be completed within 80 days following the commencement date, plus any authorized extensions.

Payments are made upon completion and acceptance by the owner. 90% of the work value is paid progressively, with 95% paid once 50% of the work is completed. Payments may be subject to deductions for vendor failures.

The work and all its components are warranted for one year after final acceptance by the owner to be of merchantable quality, free from defects, and conform to contract requirements.

Vendor must have the requisite experience, ability, inventory, capital, facilities, equipment, plant, organization, and staff to deliver the work.

Vendor shall be solely liable for any fines or civil penalties imposed by any governmental or quasi-governmental agency.

Each prospective vendor shall conduct an inspection of the work site, the surrounding area, and all local conditions.

Quotes that contain omissions, erasures, alterations or additions not called for, conditional or alternate quotes unless called for or irregularities of any kind may be rejected.

Proposals must be submitted no later than Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 10:00 am.

The contractor shall provide a minimum 10-year structural warranty and a written roofing workmanship warranty for a minimum of 10 years.

The selection will primarily be based on the qualifications of the contractor and the quality of the proposal, with specific weights for readiness to start, contract cost, and contractor qualifications.

Contractors must be licensed in the state of Georgia and have at least five years of verifiable experience in commercial construction with similarly complex projects.

An optional pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Fire Station 72.

Questions and clarification requests must be submitted by 10:00 am ET on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Proposals may be rejected if they do not include mandatory documents, if contractors communicate with city staff outside of allowed channels, or if they fail to acknowledge addenda.

Work requested to be complete no later than july 31, 2026.

Contractor shall provide a copy of contractors license and proof of authority to transact business in virginia.

An optional prebid conference will be held on uesday june 23, 2026 at 9:00 a. m. at gate city high football field.

The installing contractor will be held financially responsible for any damage to the windows and associated windowwindow trim material.
