Lot 4: Vendor to install cribbing at slide location as directed by the Engineer. Extend
wall cribbing 2 feet to 12 feet as directed by Engineer below the existing ground line. If
bedded rock is encountered, install the cribbing to the
bedded rock only. The engineer will direct changes if necessary to the procedure. Vendor to furnish all labor and equipment to deliver and install
wall cribbing on the recycled ( used) railroad rail piling.
Wall cribbing shall be lapped, bolted, and attached solid to the
drilled railroad
rails. Use
wall cribbing: recycled ( used) steel " w" beam guardrail shall be supplied by the KY Dept. of Transportation. Bolts, tie wire, welding, etc. needed to make the cribbing panels and attach to the
drilled railroad
rails will be furnished by the vendor. The Vendor is responsible for picking up the ( used) steel " W" beam guardrail at the local county Maintenance garage. Any unused ( used) steel " W" beam guardrail shall be returned to the maintenance garage by the vendor. This line item shall be used for all work paid using STATE funds.
Lot 7: Vendor to furnish and install cribbing at slide location as directed by the Engineer. Vendor furnished cribbing must be galvanized guardrail, reinforced concrete panels, or equivalent material as approved by the engineer. The cribbing material must be corrosion resistant and be capable of holding backfill material across a span of 3 to 4 feet. Extend
