The solicitation is for etching services for surgical
instruments. The requirement is 100% set aside for SDVOSB contractors. The contract is a firm fixed price purchase order with a period of performance of approximately 180 days from the date of award. Offerors must be certified distributors/servicers with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The successful bidder must present evidence of general liability insurance without any exclusionary clauses for asbestos. All invoices must be submitted electronically. The contractor shall complete the services in 180 days and the services to include the following: laser marking up to 46,000 total surgical
instruments, marking at minimum 300 to 500
instruments per day with unique device identifiers. Auditing, editing, and revising count sheets including editing and making count sheet changes to help eliminate tray picking errors. Data entry into the existing censitrac system with consistent instrument naming and accurate nomenclature. Review
instruments already marked for accurate description and eliminate duplicates and fix any marks not read by the scanners. Identify all missing
instruments and find replacements, scan the
instruments, and enter them into the censitrac system. A detailed work plan and briefing making sure all the
instruments are readable after commissioning into censitrac. Verification of count sheets with updates. Customized laser 2D barcode etching services to include laser marking of
instruments revising count sheets data entry identifying missing
instruments, and monthly project reporting. The contractor must be competent and approved by the OEM to provide the requested service. A 2-week quality audit is required after all items have been marked.
