Onondaga County is soliciting bids for the replacement of biogas piping in the main gallery at the Metro WWTP. The project includes procurement, demolition, and installation of approximately 300 linear feet of 6-inch carbon steel biogas piping. Bidders must submit a site-specific safety plan, hot work permits, and comply with OSHA regulations. A pre-bid meeting and site tour is strongly recommended. The contract duration is until the project is complete, with work to be completed within 45 business days from approved submittals. A performance bond of 100% of the awarded amount is required. The work is guaranteed for 1 year. Bids must be submitted by June 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Questions are due by June 4, 2026.
The work must be completed within forty-five (45) business days from the date of all approved submittals.
Payment will be made upon compliance with the following: prior issuance of a purchase order, full and faithful performance, acceptance of work/material, receipt of vendor invoices, and receipt of certified payrolls where applicable.
All work of this contract shall be guaranteed by the contractor for a period of one (1) year from the date of substantial completion.
County reserves the right to accept or reject any item in the bid, awarding the contract resulting from the bid, in whole or in part, to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
Contractors shall have been in business for five (5) years performing similar work for commercial or institutional accounts of equal size. The technician performing work on this contract must have five (5) years minimum experience working on the type of project specified.
Failure to deliver as specified may result in termination of the contract and may further disqualify your firm from receiving future contracts for at least two years.
Bidders attendance at the pre-bid meeting and site tour is strongly recommended to understand the scope of this project.
Samples are required to be furnished by the bidder at the request of the purchasing director. Samples are to be furnished at no cost to the county.
Protests of companies, products or services being offered from competing bidders must be made within 3 days of bid opening, in writing, to the director of the division of purchase.
Failure to submit the certificate of registration may render the bidder nonresponsive and the bid could be disqualified.
