The tender seeks proposals for the removal of invasive woody species from approximately 20 acres in Morgan Creek Prairie and Morgan Creek Park. The work must adhere to strict environmental regulations, including herbicide application protocols, vegetation disposal methods, site restoration procedures, and safety precautions. A detailed herbicide plan, including specific products, active ingredients, mixing ratios, application methods, and safety protocols, must be submitted with the bid. A written health and safety plan specific to this project is also required. The contractor will be responsible for all tipping fees. The project area is located east of the water treatment plant and farm field to Grove Rd, and south of the residences on Morgan Valley Dr to the private yards on Sudbury Circle. Access points include the intersections of Sudbury Cir, Cole Ave, the NE bend of Sudbury Cir, Morgan Valley Dr, west of Camden Cir, and Morgan Valley Dr, Isleview Dr. Work shall primarily be conducted during daylight hours, Monday through Friday, e. g. , 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. Any work outside these hours must be preapproved by the natural resources supervisor. The site may remain open to public access during the project. The contractor shall implement appropriate safety measures, signage, and barriers to ensure public safety and minimize disruption. The target invasive species include common buckthorn, glossy buckthorn, multiflora rose, autumn olive, bush honeysuckle, japanese barberry, dogwood, sandbar willow, black locust, callery pear, white mulberry, boxelder, eastern cottonwood, oriental bittersweet, wintercreeper, river grape, and others.
