The contractor shall keep the service area free from accumulations of waste material or rubbish and ensure the work area and premises are clean and restored to their original condition upon completion of the service. Contractor and subcontracted personnel are required to wear a contractor badge issued by facilities management. The contractor is solely responsible for compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, OSHA standards, and shall perform all work in a safe manner. The contractor shall provide a verbal report to the CO within 24 hours of an accident resulting in injury, death, occupational disease, or adverse environmental impact. The contractor shall provide a completed copy of required accident investigation reports to the CO within five calendar days of each occurrence. The contractor shall take all necessary precautions to prevent damage to government equipment and property. The contractor shall report damage of government property or equipment to the contracting officer and/or VA POC within 24 hours of the incident. Contractor shall comply with all applicable records management laws and regulations, as well as national archives and records administration nara records policies. All contractor employees assigned to this contract who create, work with, or otherwise handle records are required to take Iowa City VA provided records management training. The contractor shall incorporate the substance of this clause in all subcontracts. The contractor shall submit an original invoice and three copies or electronic invoice, if authorized, to the address designated in the contract to receive invoices. The invoice must include specific information. The contract price includes all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and duties. The government reserves the right to terminate this contract, or any part hereof, for its sole convenience. The contractor shall be paid a percentage of the contract price reflecting the percentage of the work performed prior to the notice of termination, plus reasonable charges the contractor can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the government. The contractor shall not be paid for any work performed or costs incurred which reasonably could have been avoided. The government may terminate this contract, or any part hereof, for cause in the event of any default by the contractor. Title to items furnished under this contract shall pass to the government upon acceptance. The contractor warrants and implies that the items delivered hereunder are merchantable and fit for use for the particular purpose described in this contract. The contractor shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, executive orders, rules and regulations applicable to its performance under this contract. The contractor agrees to comply with 31 ****, 18 U. S. C. 431, 40 U. S. C. chapter 37, 41 U. S. C. chapter 87, 49 ****, and 41 U. S. C. chapter 21. Any inconsistencies in this solicitation or contract shall be resolved by giving precedence in the following order.
