Laytime is four days for the entire mission. Laydays commence/cancelling: 29 September 2026.
Lump sum amount shall include up to four (4) days of laytime. Lump sum to include up to 4 days at destination site for customs/delivery and demurrage rate.
Tug shall be built in **** or later. Bollard pull: sufficient to tow LSD42 vessel at a minimum tow speed of six (6) knots for five (5) knot SOA in Beaufort 5 conditions. Tug shall be fully bunkered for the voyage. Internet and satellite phone capability. U. S. Navy Towing Manual **** will be used and complied with. Contractor must provide tow bridle and hardware, emergency tow lines, flooding alarms, navigation lights, and day shapes. Nondestructive testing (NDT) results of vessel deck fittings will be provided. Contractor must prepare and submit a comprehensive towing package. Interested parties are requested to provide: name and complete description/characteristics of the tow vessel including Certificate of Inspection (COI), Certificate of Documentation (COD) or classification society equivalent, photos, and all deliverables as per MSC TUG PROFORMA TUGCON SPOT FEBRUARY 2026 ****.
There will be a pre-tow conference at Naval Station San Diego, CA prior to towing the vessel. The time of this meeting will be mutually agreed upon by MSC and contractor but should occur not later than 24 hours before tow. Required attendees include tug captain/contractor representative, MSC representatives, a representative from the LSD42 vessel and the IMS.
