Bid pricing shall be provided on a monthly basis for the maintenance work. The contractor shall submit an invoice once per month based on the unit pricing, for a total of twenty-four equal payments for the life of the contract. Any approved incidental work shall be invoiced separately.
Unless otherwise specified, all workmanship and materials must have at least a one-year guaranty, in writing, from the date of delivery and/or acceptance of the project.
Every contract or order shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, taking into consideration the conformity with the specifications and the delivery and/or completion date.
Bidders shall be properly licensed in accordance with LAR. S. 37:2150-2163 and must possess a Louisiana State Contractors License with the classification of specialty: landscape, grading and beautification. The license number is required to be on the electronic envelope. The apparent low bidder shall, within ten (10) calendar days of bid opening, submit copies of all agriculture forestry licenses and certifications required for performance of the work.
Liquidated damages may be assessed for missed and/or unsatisfactory work. For example, mulch placement must be completed within seven (7) calendar days. If the contractor takes nine (9) calendar days to complete the task, they may be penalized up to **** for the delayed completion. Some scheduled maintenance items must be completed within a designated timeframe, and liquidated damages may be assessed in an amount of **** per calendar day for each day that the task remains incomplete.
All prospective bidders are encouraged to visit the site prior to submitting a bid. It is the bidder's responsibility to visit the job site and evaluate the job before submitting a bid.
Protests must be received within 48 hours of the release of the bid tabulation by the purchasing department.
