Bids are sought for gym and exercise room refinishing services. Electronic bids are due by August 12, 2026, 12:30 PM EST. A mandatory site visit is recommended. A $1,000 bid security is required. All work is to be completed during the community center's annual shutdown, which is September 7, 2026 through September 13, 2026.
The city's normal payment terms are 45 days in connection with cash discounts specified with this bid. Time will be computed from the date of complete delivery of services, supplies, or equipment, as specified, or from the date correct invoices are received in the office of the city controller, if the latter is later than the date of delivery.
Provide the warranty being offered for workmanship, labor and materials.
Award of the bids shall be based upon a combination of factors, including but not limited to, adherence to bid requirements, references and any other factors that may be in the city's best interest.
Contractor shall be a firm experienced in the sports flooring field. Contractor shall have adequate personnel to perform the services as indicated in this bid specification. Contractor shall possess appropriate equipment to perform the requested service. Contractor must provide three references where contractor has provided similar services over the last two years.
Failure of the successful bidder to enter into an agreement with the city for the work and deliver the required bonds and insurance will result in forfeiture of the bid bond, and that security shall, as liquidated damages, become the property of the city.
The city is strongly requesting that interested vendors complete a site visit at the Warren Community Center. All bidders will be held liable to have visited the work sites and familiarize themselves with the nature of the work and conditions under which the work will be performed.
Bidders shall tabulate all questions and submit one inquiry list no later than Friday, August 7, 2026 at 3:00 PM EST. The city of Warren will not respond to questions received after this date and time.
Mistakes or omissions can result in the rejection of your bid. Failure to properly sign the bid form will result in your bid not being accepted. Bidders who do not have a bid security attached to their bids, will have their bids rejected.
