The Miami Special Utility Authority (MSUA) in Miami, Oklahoma, is requesting bids for networking equipment, servers, storage appliances, software, and rectifiers. Bids are due February 19, 2026, at 1:00 PM CST. Questions must be submitted by January 26, 2026. Bidders must include a bid bond for 10% of the total bid. The successful bidder will need to provide payment and maintenance bonds. The MSUA reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The contract period is coordinated with the MSUA project manager and engineer. Payment requests will be by detailed invoice monthly. A 5% retainage will be held for each invoice.
The ideal overall FTTP implementation period is expected to span no more than 12 months following project approval and formal notice to proceed, according to the bid notice.
Payment requests will be by detailed invoice monthly provided by the contractor and will be signed by the MSUA project manager showing his/her satisfaction with the completion of work included on the invoice, as stated in the bid notice.
A maintenance bond to the MSUA in an amount equal to the contract price to protect against defective workmanship and materials for a period of 2 two years after acceptance of the awarded scope of work, and payment of all labor and materials including the prime contractor and all subcontractors, according to the bid notice.
The award of any contract will be made to the bidder offering the best bid in the interest of MSUA and having provided the necessary bonds, insurance, and other documents required per the invitation to bid and instruction to bidders, according to the bid notice.
Each contractor must complete the attached qualification statement of contractor which seeks the following information: a address of permanent place of business b list of contractor owned equipment available to complete the scope of work properly and expeditiously c list of equipment contractor expects to rent or lease to complete the scope of work properly and expeditiously d financial records showing contractors ability to meet obligations incident to the scope of work and e list of similar projects completed, according to the bid notice.
The successful bidder will be required to pay for the excess cost of field engineering and inspection and liquidated damages as defined in the contract agreement, if extensions of time are not granted by MSUA because of avoidable delays as therein defined, according to the bid notice.
Each contractor shall visit the site of the work and thoroughly and fully inform itself relative to construction hazards and procedure, labor, and all other conditions and factors, local and otherwise, which would affect the prosecution and completion of the scope of work and the cost thereof, according to the bid notice.
