US Flag Host Ship for Naval Special Warfare One US Flag Host Ship for Naval Special Warfare ( NSW) based in Virginia Beach, VA. The vessel will be utilized primarily for training purposes, specifically to launch and recover dry combatant submersibles ( DCS), seal delivery vehicles ( SDVs), and their supporting surface safety boats, and U. S. Navy divers. It will also be used for simulated ship attack, training for under hull surveys, and training for anchoring and loitering. The vessel will have berthing and facilities for forty- five ( 45) personnel in addition to the ships crew and shall operate for forty- five ( 45) days without resupply. The vessel shall host a mix of the following craft: up to two Seal Delivery Vehicles ( SDV), one Dry Combat Submersible ( DCS), and support craft including up to two Personal Watercraft ( PWC), two Rigid Inflatable Boats ( RHIBs) and six Combat Rubber Raiding Craft ( CRRC).
