Deadline for substitution requests is July 21, 2025, at 5:00 PM PST. Deadline for contractor questions is July 23, 2025, at 5:00 PM PST. Final addendum issued if necessary on July 28, 2025. Proposal due date is July 31, 2025, prior to 2:00 PM PST. Building will be partially occupied throughout the summer, with staff returning starting approximately August 4, 2025. Building will be fully occupied beginning September 2, 2025, approximately 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, assume daily Monday to Friday. Noisy and disruptive work to be limited to before and after these occupied times. All building systems power, water, etc. are to remain on and functioning while building is occupied. Completion date is critical due to requirements of owners operations. The owner reserves the right to change the schedule or terminate the entire procurement process at any time. Bidders must be registered with the construction contractors board. Bid security is required. Insurance binder required within five 5 days of bid award. Bidders must acquaint themselves thoroughly as to the character and nature of the work to be done and the conditions under which the work will be performed. Bidders must make a careful examination of the site of the work and inform themselves fully as to the difficulties to be encountered in the performance of the work. Bidders must submit a detailed breakdown of their bid within forty-eight 48 hours of notification. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Bid protest procedure outlined. Subcontractors must be acceptable to the owner. Prevailing wage rates apply. Monthly progress payments will generally be made to the contractor within thirty 30 days after approval of the certificate of payment by the owner. Substitutions must be submitted on the form provided in the bidding documents. Employee drug testing program required. Sample owner-contractor agreement attached. Contractor must submit a completed request for taxpayer identification number and certification form W9 with this signed contract. Contractor certifies under penalty of perjury that contractor is a sole proprietor, corporation, limited liability company, partnership, nonprofit corporation, or other (describe). Contractor represents and warrants that contractor has complied with the tax laws of this state or a political subdivision of this state. Contractor covenants that the contractor will continue to comply with the tax laws of this state or a political subdivision of this state during the term of this contract. Failure by the contractor to comply with the tax laws of this state or a political subdivision of this state before the execution of this contract or during the term of this contract is a default for which the district may terminate this contract and seek damages and other relief available under the terms of this contract or under applicable law.
