Wheelchair Repair Government Bids & RFPs

Bids are due by 2:00 PM ET on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Bids received after this date and time will not be considered.

The city will compensate the contractor in the form of either lump sum payment upon completion and acceptance of the work or monthly progress payments. The city's standard payment term is Net 30.

The contractor guarantees that the items conform to the design and specifications and will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a minimum of one year after initial delivery, unless another effective period is specified.

Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder complying with all provisions of the invitation for bid, provided the price is reasonable and in the best interest of the city to accept.

Bidders must provide written evidence through references of five years prior experience with the scope of work as detailed in the specifications.

Defective or unsuitable materials or workmanship shall be rejected and made good by the contractor. If the contractor fails to correct work within the specified period, they may be subject to contractual default provisions.

An in-person pre-bid site visit meeting will be held on June 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM ET, followed by a walking tour of various city locations.

Samples of items, if requested, shall be furnished without charge, upon request within ten days. Failure to provide samples may be cause to consider the bid as nonresponsive.

Questions pertaining to this bid may be directed to leela r. fireside via the City's collaboration portal no later than July 2, 2026, 2:00 PM ET.

Failure to submit the submittal checklist and signature page, failure to acknowledge an addendum, or initiating unauthorized communication during the procurement process may result in disqualification.

Offerors are required to be registered in the SAM system for award management database www. ***. *. * when submitting an offer or quotation more than $40,000, and shall continue to be registered until time of award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract, purchase order and blanket purchase agreement resulting from this solicitation.

The contract completion date is 270 days after the notice to proceed date. Bids are due by 2:00 p. m. local time on Wednesday, June 24th, 2026.

Invoices shall be submitted by the 25th day of each month and processed for payment thirty 30 days after receipt. Unit prices shall remain as submitted for a period of 365 calendar days.

The award will be based on the lowest bid price for the specified work.

Contractors must be licensed in North Carolina. The awarded contractor will be prequalified for resurfacing services for one 1 additional year, ending June 30, 2026.

Liquidated damages are **** for each calendar day that expires after the contract specified time until the remaining outstanding work punchlist is performed.

Bidders represent that they have visited the site and become familiar with and are satisfied as to the general, local, and site conditions that may affect cost, progress, performance, and furnishing of the work.

Any claims for additional compensation shall be submitted in writing to the director with detailed justification within thirty 30 days after receipt of the final invoice payment.

Failure to execute and deliver the contract and furnish required documents within 14 days after the city's notice of award may result in annulment of the award and forfeiture of bid security.

Proposals are due by June 15, 2026, at 3:30 PM.

Payment terms shall be net 30 days upon receipt and acceptance of a proper invoice. Invoices shall be submitted monthly in arrears following completion of the scheduled maintenance services.

Full service maintenance includes all routine labor and standard replacement parts, with exclusions for acts of force majeure, misuse, vandalism, or negligence.

Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable, responsible offeror.

Offerors must demonstrate a minimum of five years of experience maintaining comparable elevator systems, relevant training and certifications, and provide at least three references for comparable projects within the last five years.

Failure to meet response time requirements for emergency callbacks may be considered contractor non-performance.

Late offers may be rejected. The government reserves the right to deny access to any contractor personnel for security or operational reasons.
