Pipe Maintenance Government Bids & RFPs

All work shall be completed by December 31, 2026.

The town shall have thirty 30 days to make payment for: a. the work performed during the preceding month.

The contractor shall and hereby does warrant that all work executed and all equipment furnished under this contract shall be free from defects of workmanship and materials for a period of one 1 year.

The contract will be awarded to the responsible and responsive bidder who offers the lowest price.

A responsible bidder must have completed and submitted all of the required bid documents.

A 500day penalty charge will be assessed if the contractor does not meet the specified final completion date.

There will be a prebid walkthrough held on september 25, 2026 at 9:00 am, 26 central street, west springfield, ma ****.

Payment shall be made following completion, inspection, and acceptance of the work by the city. The city's payment terms are net 30 unless otherwise specified in the contract.

Bids will be evaluated and awarded on the following basis as marked: lowest bid price or lowest evaluated bid price.

Bidders shall provide operator qualification manuals, operations and procedures manuals, dot drug testing manuals, and multiple references demonstrating experience performing similar natural gas related work.

If the successful bidders fails to perform the services in accordance with the bid documents, the city may: require corrective action withhold payment for unsatisfactory performance terminate the contract in whole or in part procure equipment or services from another source and hold the contractor responsible for any additional costs

Failure to comply with these instructions may result in the bid being deemed nonresponsive.
