Bids are being accepted for grounds maintenance services, including snow plowing, grass cutting, fertilizing, and weed whacking, for various Chariho Regional School District locations. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 18, 2026. Bids are due by July 8, 2026, and must be submitted through BidNet. The contract duration is three seasons with two optional extensions. The district seeks the best value and considers prior experience and ability to provide services efficiently. Payment is made monthly after satisfactory service and invoice presentation. Funding is subject to annual appropriation and availability of funds.

Within one year of final acceptance, if any item proves defective or not meeting specifications, the contractor shall immediately replace, repair, or correct it at no cost to the school district. whenever, within one year of the final acceptance of the apparatus, equipment, supplies, materials, work or services by the school district, the contractor is notified in writing by the school district that any item of apparatus, equipment, supplies, material, andor workmanship has proven defective or is not meeting the specification requirements, the bidder shall immediately replace, repair or otherwise correct, as the school district may determine, the defect or deficiency without cost to the school district.

If the vendor fails to start work as required, a credit may be taken in the bid price of $1 per day at the discretion of the Director of Administration and Finance. if the vendor fails to start work as required in the time indicated or subsequently agreed to, a credit may be taken in the bid price of 1 per day at the discretion of the director of administration and finance of the chariho regional school district.

The school district may terminate the contract if the contractor fails to perform services within the specified time or fails to make progress, and does not remedy the failure within 10 days of notice. if the contractor fails to perform the services within the time specified herein or any extensions thereof or if the contractor fails to perform any of the other provisions of this contract, or fails to make progress such as to endanger performance of this contract in accordance with its terms and in either of these two circumstances does not remedy such failure within a period of 10 days after receipt of notice from the director of administration and finance specifying such failure.
