This is an invitation for bids for rightofway mowing services for the City of North Myrtle Beach. An optional prebid conference will be held on April 2, 2026. All questions are due by April 9, 2026, and bids are due by April 16, 2026. Bids must be submitted through the virtual bidding platform www. ***. *. * city reserves the right to waive informalities and accept or reject any bids. Bidder registration is required on www. ***. *. * and payment bonds are required. A local vendor preference may apply. The contract will be awarded to the responsive and lowest responsible bidder.
The bids are due by April 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM ET. The contract award is expected within thirty days after the bid opening.
The bid notice states that payment terms are net 30 days unless an early payment discount is quoted. Invoices must be submitted as specified at the time of shipping authorization.
The contracted supplier warrants that the supplies provided are fit and sufficient for the purpose intended, are merchantable, of good quality, and free from defects. If the contract provides for construction or installation services, the contractor shall guarantee workmanship for a period of twelve months upon completion of work.
The lowest responsible bidder shall be determined based on the quality and performance of supplies, the ability and capacity of the bidder to perform, the ability to perform within the time specified, the character, integrity, reputation, judgment, experience, and efficiency of the bidder, the quality of previous performance, and the ability to provide future maintenance, repair parts, and services.
The owner may investigate the bidder's ability to perform, and the bidder must furnish information as requested. The owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the bidder is not properly qualified. Minimum requirements include adequate capital and credit, an efficient office force, an adequate field force, a record of amicable labor relations, and an adequate supply of applicable equipment.
Liquidated damages of **** per day will apply for exceeding the schedule after a notice to proceed is issued. The city may also terminate the contract for cause or convenience, and the contractor may be liable for reprocurement costs.
A prebid conference is optional and will be held on April 2, 2026, at 12:00 PM ET. Bidders are encouraged to familiarize themselves with conditions, which may require onsite observation.
Protests regarding the solicitation must be submitted in writing to the procurement manager within ten calendar days of the issuance of the invitation to bid. Protests regarding the intended award or award of a contract must be submitted within ten calendar days of the notification of intent to award or statement of award.
