Tree Arborist Government Bids & RFPs

Bids must be received via Bid Locker by June 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time.

The university will recommend for award a responsive bid from the responsible bidder/offeror submitting the most favorable evaluated bid price for the requirements herein.

Contractors must have been in business for at least five years, provide three references for comparable projects, hold a Maryland Tree Expert License, be a current member of the International Society of Arboriculture, and have at least one ISA certified arborist and one pruning supervisor on payroll.

A pre-bid conference may be held, and offerors are encouraged to attend. The vendor acknowledges that they have investigated and satisfied themselves as to the conditions affecting the work by submitting a bid.

The procurement officer shall render a written decision on all claims. The contractor may mail or otherwise file a written appeal with the Maryland State Board of Contract Appeals within thirty (30) days of receipt of the decision.

Attempts by a bidder/offeror to contact the requester, evaluator, or otherwise circumvent the established procedure may be grounds for disqualification. Failure to submit any required document may result in the bid being deemed non-responsive and rejected.

The contract requires supervision by an arborist and compliance with ANSI standards for tree care operations and risk assessment.

Contractor must be licensed, insured, and experienced with removal of large trees and portion of trees. Must be prepared to provide a list of company owned tree removal and hauling equipment and vehicles as well as provide local reference work.
