The City of Seguin solicits proposals for the construction of the Walnut Branch Phase IV sanitary sewer and water main replacement project. The scope includes rehabilitating an existing 24-inch sanitary sewer main and constructing new sanitary and potable water mains. Bids must be submitted electronically via BidNetDirect by Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM CDST. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder offering the best value. A nonmandatory prebid conference is scheduled for August 25, 2026.
Sealed bids will be received electronically through bidnet direct at bidnetdirect. com until tuesday, september 22nd, 2026, at 3 pm cdst.
The selected offeror will be also responsible for: obtaining all applicable permits and inspections providing all necessary performance and payment bonds and insurance certificates and providing the owner with all manufacturers warranties and all operations and maintenance o m manuals for all equipment installed.
The city will award the contract for the project based on best value bidding as that term and its selection criteria are defined in section **** of the local government code.
The statement of qualifications received will be part of the selection process utilized by owner.
For each tree that any work shall damage or destroy, the amount per tree shall be 500. 00. this will be deducted from the monies due the contractor, not as a penalty but as liquidated damages.
Offerors may arrange for access to the site by contacting engineer at any time between publication of the rfp and the deadline for receipt of proposals.
The last day for questions is friday, september 4th, 2026.
Respondents who provide false, misleading, or incomplete information, whether intentional or not, in any of the documents presented to owner for consideration in the selection process shall be excluded.
