Sealed bids will be received by the University of Louisiana at Monroe's purchasing department via mail or delivery to Coenen Hall room 140, **** Lasalle Street, Monroe, LA **** by 2:00 PM on July 8, 2025. Bidders requiring special accommodations must notify the purchasing department at least seven days prior to the bid opening. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 50% performance bond. Bids are accepted from contractors licensed under LA R. S. 37: **** in the areas of specialty: elevators, dumbwaiters, and escalators. Bidders must comply with LA R. S. 38: 2212a1a. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. The bid must be manually signed in ink. The bid prices must be typed or written in ink. Any corrections must be initialed by the bidder. Bid prices shall include delivery of all items free on board (FOB) destination. Payment is to be made within 30 days after receipt of a properly executed invoice or delivery, whichever is later. Bids are subject to provisions of the laws of the state of Louisiana, including but not limited to LA R. S. 39: **** complete record of all bids is kept on file in the purchasing department. By signing the bid, the bidder certifies compliance with all instructions to bidders, terms, conditions, and specifications, and further certifies that this bid is made without collusion or fraud. The university reserves the right to award portions or all of this bid to one or more contractors. The contractor agrees that the university and the legislative auditor of the state of Louisiana and the UL Monroe internal audit department shall have access to, and the right to audit and examine, any pertinent books, documents, papers, and records of the contractor related to this solicitation and any resulting contract. The contractor agrees that in the event of any accident, the contractor will immediately notify the university's campus police department and thereafter furnish a full written report of such accident. The contract shall not be modified, altered, or changed except by mutual agreement amended in writing by the authorized representative of each party to the contract. The contractor shall indemnify and hold harmless the state, the university, its officers, agents, and employees from liability of any nature or kind for the use of any copyrighted or uncopyrighted composition, secretly process, patented or unpatented, invention, article or appliance furnished or used in the performance of the contract of which contractor is not the patentee, assignee, or licensee.
