Amherst County - Va - Agency Bids & RFPs

The County of Amherst, Virginia, is seeking proposals for general engineering services. Proposals must be submitted by March 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The contract term is anticipated to commence July 1, 2026, and extend through June 30, 2027, with the possibility of three one-year extensions. The county will pay within 30 days for properly submitted invoices. The successful proposer must provide evidence of an applicable current business license. The contractor must provide a drug-free workplace. The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations. The contractor must indemnify and hold harmless the county and its officers, agents, volunteers, and employees against any and all liability, losses, damages, claims, causes of action, suits of any nature, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys fees, resulting from or arising out of contractors or its agents or subcontractors negligent activities or omissions on or near any of the countys property or easements, or arising out of or resulting from contractors negligence in providing any of the services under this agreement, including, without limitation, fines and penalties, violations of federal, state, or local laws, or regulations promulgated thereunder, or any personal injury, wrongful death, or property damage claims of any type.
