The Lake Orion Community Schools are seeking a vendor to provide video surveillance and door access control solutions. The project involves replacing aged VMS servers and cameras in the high school, expanding camera coverage, and installing door access control components. The vendor must integrate the new system with the existing infrastructure. The RFP includes detailed specifications for the new system, including integration with the existing PA system, and the need for 30 days of archive video. The vendor must also be able to integrate with existing systems and future needs. The district has a preferred solution in mind and has conducted a technical analysis. The vendor must provide detailed pricing for the proposed solution, including any additional costs for advanced features. The district will provide racks and ups. The project will be done during the school year, and the vendor must be able to work during school hours. Sealed bids for video surveillance and door access control are being accepted until 8:30 AM local time on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Bids must be submitted using the forms provided in the RFP and comply with all requirements. A sworn and notarized statement disclosing familial relationships and a signed statement complying with the Iran economic sanctions act of **** are required. Lake Orion Community Schools local preference resolution will be followed. A non-mandatory virtual pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025 at 9 AM local time. The district reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Successful contractors must obtain performance and payment bonds for any bid category exceeding $50,000, and may be requested to obtain them for any bid category below $50,000. The bonds must be in an amount equal to the contract amount, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Michigan and listed in the Federal Register or have an A. M. Best rating of B or better. Bid bonds are preferred, but certified or cashier's checks are acceptable for bids under $50,000. This project is not tax-exempt for state sales tax and/or use tax.
