The contract period will be from the date of award to September 30, 2026. Item 1 may require weekend deliveries during periods of peak demand. If the contractor fails to deliver these supplies by the promised delivery date or a reasonable time thereafter, giving acceptable reasons for delay, or supplies are rejected for failure to meet specifications, the City of Abilene reserves the right to purchase specified supplies elsewhere, and charge the increase in price and cost of handling, if any, to the contractor.
The City of Abilene will utilize the best value competitive bidding method in determining the award of the contract. The City of Abilene will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder who provides the best value to the City of Abilene.
All chemicals must meet AWWA standard listed and/or NSF/ANSI standard 60: drinking water treatment chemicals, including those for the Hamby Wastewater Treatment Plant. All chemicals must meet AWWA and City of Abilene specifications.

A manufacturers certificate of analysis must accompany each delivery.
