The asbestos abatement and universal waste removal services period is expected to conclude by Friday, July 31, 2026.
The prime objective in the proposal evaluation process will be to select the firm best qualified to provide the required service, all factors considered. The award of the contract will be based on which proposal provides the best value and greatest benefit to the project. Price will be only one of the factors considered.
Contractors must demonstrate their qualifications, including years of experience with similar projects, summaries of past projects involving demolition, a minimum of three references, and a list of projects with a contract value greater than $75,000. They must also be licensed asbestos abatement contractors in the state of Michigan.
A mandatory pre-bid walk will be conducted on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 9 a. m. to 10:30 a. m. EST at 115 W. Main St. , Kingsley, MI. Contractors are responsible for bringing their own equipment.
Contractor questions for the owners project manager must be made no later than Monday, June 29, 2026, at 5:00 p. m. EST.
Contractors and their subcontractors must disclose any violations of law, permit or license, enforcement notices, or escalated enforcement actions within the past five years. Failure to comply with these requirements or provide accurate information could lead to disqualification.
