The City of Lansing is seeking qualified consulting firms to update its community sustainability action plan and municipal climate action plan, which includes developing a planning-level climate vulnerability assessment. Proposals must be submitted electronically via MITN or as a hard copy by September 30, 2026, at 2:00 pm local time. Selection will be based on experience (25%), understanding of the problem (30%), method of approach (30%), and time and effort (15%). Payment will be made monthly upon receipt of billing statements and progress reports.
Proposals must be submitted up to but no later than, 2: 00 pm local time in effect sept. 30, 2026.
Payment for a contract entered into as a result of this request will be made monthly upon receipt of the consultants billing statement and progress reports.
The following factors will be considered in making the selection taking into account that the respondent is found responsive pursuant to the provisions of chapter 206 of the city of lansings code of ordinances: experience 25 based upon the respondents past work on similar projects and education that is relevant to the work in this rfp.
Each respondent shall, upon request of the city of lansing, submit an organization and financial statement.
Questions from respondents regarding this rfp must be submitted to the buyer, in writing, and must arrive in the office of purchasing no later than seven 7 city business days prior to the duedate of the rfp.
The city of lansing reserves the right to consider as unqualified to perform the contract any respondent who does not habitually perform with its own forces twentyfive 25 of the work involved.
The contract will be awarded to the most responsive respondent as determined pursuant to the provisions of chapter 206 of the city of lansings code of ordinances, provided such proposal is in the best interests of the city of lansing to accept it.
