Chautauqua County is seeking bids for up to two new 2026 or newer class 8 tandem axle, diesel-powered road tractors equipped with a 5th wheel and wet line hydraulic system. Bids must be received by 2:00 p. m. on October 15, 2026. The award will be to the lowest responsible bidder based on the lowest total delivered price. A mandatory preassembly conference must occur before installation begins.
Bids must be received by the county's purchasing division, 454 N. Work Street, Falconer, New York, no later than the due date and time on the itb cover page.
In most instances, chautauqua county issues payments electronically.
The cab/chassis has a minimum two years warranty, the engine has a minimum seven years or 250,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
The low bidder will be determined by the lowest total delivered price on the county's bid form.

In the event the successful bidder defaults on the guaranteed delivery requirements stated in its proposal, chautauqua county may, at its option: cancel the purchase without penalty and/or impose liquidated damages.
The chassis vendor shall contact the dpf when the chassis is received. Upon notification, the chautauqua county acceptance team shall have the opportunity to visit the vendors facility to inspect the chassis.
