Haywood County is soliciting bids for the remounting and refurbishment of one existing Type I ambulance module onto a new Dodge Ram **** 4x4 diesel chassis. Bids must be submitted by October 1, 2026, at 3:00 pm. The award will be based on best value, considering factors beyond just the lowest price. Bidders are responsible for inspecting the existing ambulance unit. The completed vehicle must meet current CAA ground vehicle standards and applicable NC requirements. A minimum one-year warranty on remount workmanship is required.
Bids will be accepted until thursday, october 1, 2026 at 3: 00 pm.
Final payment shall be made after delivery, inspection, correction of deficiencies, acceptance of the completed vehicle, and receipt of all required certifications, test results, warranties, manuals, and documentation.
The completed remount shall be guaranteed against faulty materials and workmanship for a period of one 1 year or greater.
The award will be based on best value, allowing consideration of factors beyond pricing, such as workmanship and service support.
Bidders must document type i ambulance remount experience and have at least three similar project references from the past five years.
Bidders are responsible for inspecting the existing ambulance, verifying module and chassis dimensions, evaluating the condition of the module and installed systems.
Failure to meet the submission deadline will disqualify the bidder.
