Building Envelope Government Bids & RFPs

Bids must be submitted by 2:00 p. m. local time on Tuesday, November 10, 2026. No bids will be accepted after 2:00 p. m. , local time.

The contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified, responsive bidder provided the bid meets requirements and does not exceed available funds.

Bidders must be recognized contractors, complete certifications including HUD Form ****, and submit a Section 3 plan. The prime contractor shall be a recognized contractor who shall bear the complete responsibility for completion of all work.

Bids may be rejected if not accompanied by required bid security, incomplete, or irregular. the owner shall have the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids, or to reject a bid not accompanied by the required bid security.

Proposals must be submitted by 4:30 pm on November 3, 2026, as stated: proposals are to be submitted to wausau city hall. . . by 4: 30 pm on november 3, 2026.

The city will evaluate proposals based on cost, qualifications, completeness, and past performance.

Proposals are requested from qualified contractors to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services for the roof replacement.

The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids and may approve or deny alternative membrane systems.

All work shall be substantially completed no later than April 30, 2027, with final completion by May 30, 2027. all work listed in the construction documents shall be substantially completed no later than april 30, 2027

Payment made no later than 45 days after final completion. Monthly progress payments may be made at BISD's election. bisd's payment to contractor of the unpaid and undisputed portion of the contract sum due to contractor shall be made no later than fortyfive 45 days after final completion

Contractor warrants work will be free from defects and will repair or replace defective work at its sole expense. contractor further warrants, for the maximum period allowed by law, that the work will conform to the requirements of this agreement and will be free from defects

Best value based on weighted criteria: price 40%, experience/reputation 20%, quality of services 10%, financial capability 10%, proposed personnel 5%, past relationship 5%, safety record 10%. award of a contract, if any, will be made to the proposer who submits the proposal that offers the best value for bisd

Proposer must be an experienced contractor with school/governmental project experience, properly licensed, registered in Texas, and able to obtain payment and performance bonds. be an experienced contractor who has served as a prime contractor on similar construction projects for schoolsgovernmental entities

Contractor violating prevailing wage requirements shall pay BISD $60 per worker per day. a contractor or subcontractor who violates the requirement to pay prevailing wage rates shall pay to bisd, 60 for each worker employed for each calendar day

Appeals must be received by close of business on or before the 15th BISD business day after award. complaintsappeals must be received by the close of business on or before the 15th bisd business day after award of the contract

Proposals received after deadline, unsigned proposals, or those sent via fax/email will not be considered. Missing forms may cause disqualification. any proposal received after the time and date stated above will not be considered. unsigned proposals andor proposals received via facsimile or email will not be considered
