Sole Source Notice - LINEV Body Scanner Maintenance

Lot 1: The Colorado Department of Corrections ( CDOC) states its belief that only one source, LINEV System US Inc. , is able to provide the annual maintenance, inspection, and warranty services for three ( 3) ClearPass Body Scanner Systems. The body scanner systems at three ( 3) CDOC locations are essential for ensuring safety and security protocols are met at all times. The proprietary software updates can only be administered by LINVE Systems to fulfil the warranty and guarantee the scanners are functioning at optimal levels. The specialized equipment can only be calibrated, adjusted, and supported by LINEV System certified technicians. The annual maintenance includes preventative inspections, diagnostics, technical support, replacement parts, a radiation report, technician labor and travel costs, eliminating the need to seek out maintenance and repairs as they occur from a third party, and would void the equipment warranty. LINEV Systems US Inc is the only authorized source from which software updates can be acquired for this specialized equipment, no other service provider is authorized to perform maintenance, training, software updates, equipment relocation or corrective action on LINEV ClearPass Body Scanner products. Any other service provider would require the purchasing of new equipment to replace the current products, and would impose significant financial burdens on CDOC, tripling the cost to the State, and disrupt the daily security operations at each facility. This Notice of Proposed Sole Source has been published to allow any prospective competitors or other interested parties the option to submit comments and/or objections to our determination that LINEV System US Inc, is the sole source from which to purchase the annual maintenance and service for the three ( 3) ClearPass Body Scanners, which are critical for the safety and security of the facilities. Any such comments or objections concerning the purchasing from this proposed sole source vendor may only be submitted through bidnetdirect. com//cdoc. Not
