All work shall be completed and invoiced prior to: Dec. 1, 2026.

Monthly statements are due by the first day of each month, and payments will be made 45 days after receipt of properly submitted statements. A retention of 10% will be held until 50% completion, and 5% thereafter.

All work is warranted to be free from defects for one year following completion.

The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, considering factors such as bidder's ability to provide experienced labor, character, integrity, reputation, judgment, experience, serviceability, financial resources, and quality of work.

Bidders must demonstrate experience in performing similar work and have adequate resources and materials to complete the work within the specified time.

If the contractor fails to complete the work within the specified time, the final payment will be reduced by **** per calendar day of time overrun, as liquidated damages.

Failure to obtain required certifications, failure to submit required information, or failure to comply with applicable laws and regulations may result in disqualification.

Sealed bids must be received at the information desk of Addison Village Hall, 1 Friendship Plaza, Addison, Illinois, prior to 10:15 a. m. on Monday, July 20, 2026.

Payments will be made monthly, based on work performed, with a 10% retention until 50% completion, and 5% thereafter, held until final completion and punch list items are addressed.

All materials, workmanship, services, and purchased commodities will be guaranteed against defects for at least one year or for a longer period if specified in the contract documents.

Bidders must demonstrate experience in similar projects, possess adequate labor and materials, and have a good reputation. New manufacturers or installers may be required to install a test section under supervision.

If bidders find discrepancies or ambiguities in the bid documents, they must notify the Village of Addison of those errors or inconsistencies before the due date.

Failure to submit required certifications, errors or omissions in bid forms, or not meeting bid requirements could result in rejection of the bid.

Contractor shall guarantee all equipment and wiring to be free from mechanical and electrical defects for a period of one 1 year from the date of acceptance.

The village shall award the contract to the lowest responsive, most responsible bidder.

All bidders must be licensed, bonded, and insured, and require proof of active state electrical contractor licenses. Bidders must also work within OSHA compliance and provide a list of references.

Failure to use the bid forms included in these bidding documents could result in rejection of the bid. Bids without the attached label on the envelope may be delayed and not arrive in time for the bid opening.
