The contract will commence upon award, with the award given within 60 days of the letting. A mandatory prebid meeting will be conducted on February 3rd, 2026. All questions must be submitted through the Q&A function on the RFx in the vendor portal. The bid opening time is 2:00 PM, local time. A proposal guaranty for execution of contract to accompany bid proposal is required. Performance and payment bonds are required from successful bidders. Services shall not commence until the successful contractor has obtained all the insurance as listed on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission minimum insurance requirements.
The contract shall commence upon award, and execution and notice to proceed will be given within thirty 30 days of award unless the time is extended by the bidder.
All prospective bidders must be on the Pennsylvania Department of Transportations prequalified geotechnical drilling contractors list.
Where the bidder does not comply with the bid, purchase order, or contract, the proceeds of the certified check, bank cashiers check, or performance bond shall be forfeited to the pennsylvania turnpike commission as liquidated damages for his failure to perform.
A mandatory prebid conference will be conducted in person at the time, date, and location designated below: February 3rd, 2026 at 11:00 AM, Western Regional Office, **** North Center Avenue New Stanton PA **** in the large conference room room 201.
February 6, 2026 is the deadline for bidders to submit questions.
The commission intends to award one contract at a maximum not-to-exceed value of $1,200,000.
