The tender seeks proposals for the replacement of picnic shelter structures, furnishings, grills, trash containers, and concrete paving at Indiana Dunes National Park West Beach. The project includes demolition of existing structures, installation of new foundations, concrete slabs, and shelters. Bidders are urged to visit the site to examine existing conditions. The bid opening date is Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM ET. Additional documents, including a construction schedule, schedule of values, accident prevention safety plan, list of subcontractors, and statements from subcontractors, are required prior to the preconstruction conference. The period of performance is 270 calendar days from the notice to proceed, with a start date no earlier than Tuesday, September 2, 2025, and a completion date no later than Friday, May 22, 2026. The notice to proceed will include supply lead times, material deliveries, decommissioning, installation, anticipated average weather days, final commissioning, and acceptance of completed work. The contractor will be expected to provide a project schedule with adequate critical path details to ensure all work is completed within the stated calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed. If weather impacts the project beyond typical average weather patterns, the contractor shall provide documentation in request for additional days. Historical and archeological data preservation is a key aspect of the project. The contractor is responsible for protecting cultural resources and notifying the contracting officer of any discoveries. The contractor must comply with all applicable park rules and regulations, including noise and acoustics management, and conduct operations to ensure the least inconvenience to the public. The contractor is responsible for providing temporary services, equipment, tools, and skilled labor as required. The project includes final cleanup, closeout submittals, and final inspection procedures working toward final acceptance. The construction warranty shall be based on the date of final acceptance of the work and remain in effect for one year. All manufacturer warranty information of products installed must be provided.
