Bids are due on or before August 6, 2026, at 9:00 AM EST.
Partial payments will be made as work progresses, with 5% retained until final completion and acceptance. Final payment is conditioned upon submission of evidence that all claims for labor, material, and indebtedness have been paid.
The contractor shall remedy any defects in the work and pay for any damage to other work resulting therefrom that shall appear within a period of eighteen 18 months from the date of final acceptance of the work.
The city reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities and technicalities, and to request resubmission. The city shall be the sole final judge of qualifications of the bidder to perform service and reserves the exclusive right to accept or reject any bid as it deems to be in the best interests of the city.
Contractors must be licensed, bondable, and insured according to city requirements. Minimum qualifications include providing at least three professional, business references with which you have contracted to provide similar services in the past five years.
If the work is not completed on or before the date set for completion or any extension thereof, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages in the amount of $500 per day for each calendar day of delay.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on 07/15/2026 at 2:00 PM EST onsite at **** Gulf Way, St. Pete Beach, FL ****.
Bidders shall bring questions, discrepancies, omissions, conflicts or doubt as to meaning of any part of contract documents to the attention of the city of St. Pete Beach procurement manager at least ten 10 business days before bid submittal deadline.
Violation of the cone of silence provision may be grounds for rejecting a response. Failure to comply with the e-verify provision is a material breach of the agreement, and the city may choose to terminate the agreement at its sole discretion.
