Bids are being received for one snow plow/dump truck upfitting. Bids are due by 10:00 AM CT on July 21, 2026. A bid bond of 5% is required. Delivery is F. O. B. McKenzie County Road Dept. , Watford City, North Dakota. The award will be based on the most responsible bid, considering various factors including price, delivery, and service. Upfittings must meet OSHA requirements and be new 2026 models. A one-year warranty is required for upfitter workmanship and Force America components. Monroe equipment has a one-year warranty. Crysteel has a 5-year warranty on the body and a 5-year paint warranty. McKenzie County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Upon acceptance of any bid, McKenzie County Road Dept. shall withhold five 5 percent of the bidder's net bid for at least thirty days after the delivery of said bid item to ensure compliance with all agreed upon specifications.
Upfitters warranty workmanship must be one year (12 months) for all installations. Monroe equipment has a one-year warranty from all installations. Crysteel includes 5 years total: 3 years (36 months) at 100% coverage, last 2 years (24 months) at 50% coverage. Crysteel paint warranty is 5 years. Force America has a one-year (12 months) warranty from delivery date.
The basis of the award shall be dependent on the most responsible bid submitted. Consideration will be given to purchase price, repurchase price, delivery date, equipment service guarantees, parts and service availability, parts and service facilities location, and analyses and comparison of equipment specification details.
Bids will not be considered unless accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of not less than five 5 percent of the total amount of the bid. Bids will not be considered that do not include a copy of the manufacturer's literature/specification material.
The county commissioners reserve the right to hold the bids for a period of not to exceed 30 days.
Failure to clarify any 'no' answers on a separate sheet may result in nonacceptance of the bid. Bids not including manufacturer's literature/specification material will not be considered.
