The contract will be for one year, continuing through June 30, 2027.

The zoo prefers Tuesdays and Fridays between 6:00 a. m. - 9:00 a. m. CST for deliveries to the Animal Nutrition Center. The zoo prefers the following delivery schedules however, vendors may propose alternative delivery schedules that maintain product freshness and meet operational requirements.

Proposals will be evaluated based on produce quality/food safety (25%), product availability/seasonality (25%), delivery service approach (20%), local/regional agricultural practices (15%), and pricing/value (15%). Award shall be made to the responsible proposer whose proposal is determined to be most advantageous to the zoo, considering price and all other evaluation factors set forth herein.

Qualified local and regional farmers, agricultural cooperatives, or food hubs are invited to submit proposals. The Saint Louis Zoo animal nutrition invites qualified local and regional farmers to submit proposals. . .

The district will only accept and consider electronically submitted proposals from vendors, which must be submitted and received in Bidnet on or before 2:00 p. m. MST on July 8, 2026, at which time the submission portal will close, and no further submissions will be allowed or considered.

Invoices will generally be paid within thirty 30 days following the district representatives approval. Invoices for services provided shall be submitted directly to accounts payable in the districts finance department within thirty 30 days of completion of services.

Vendors who meet minimum qualifications in providing locally sourced and grown produce will be added to a shortlist. The shortlisted vendors will be invited to bid on the districts monthly produce invitation for bid.

Vendors may be precluded from the approved list for inability to meet minimum requirements in deliveries, ordering, and required documentation, hidden fees and/or charges, or misalignment with Poudre School District's values, mission, and operating principles.
