The City of Port Hueneme is seeking bids for the Pavement Rehabilitation Project (Project ****). The project involves repaving Pleasant Valley Road and parking lots A, B, and E, covering approximately 273,000 square feet. The City will receive sealed bids no later than Tuesday, June 16th, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
Progress payments will be made on or about the first day of each calendar month, totaling 95% of the work completed, with the remaining balance paid 35 days after completion and certification.
The City shall award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.
Bidders must be licensed contractors in California (Class A or C12) and registered with the CA Department of Industrial Relations. They must also submit proof of DIR registration within five working days of bid opening.
Liquidated damages of $1,**** per day will be assessed for each calendar day exceeding the agreed-upon completion time for contractor-caused delays.
No pre-bid conference or site walk will be held, but every bidder is strongly encouraged to visit the project site on their own.
Protests must be filed in writing within five business days of the notice of intended award.
Failure to submit required forms, including DIR registration proof, or making false certifications may result in bid rejection or disqualification.
