Quotes must be submitted no later than 2 p. m. on Friday, August 7, 2026.

Invoicing to be included at time of delivery and will be paid by district on a monthly basis.

The contract will be awarded to the vendor that represents the best value to the district.

Vendor quotes must contain a summary consisting of a vendor company overview, a broad explanation of why the vendor feels it is highly qualified for the quote and a detailed cost breakdown of the items.

Any milk reported by the district as unsatisfactory due to taste, consistency, color or presence of foreign objects will be picked up with 24 hours by the vendor. The vendor is responsible for analyzing the causes of the problems and providing a corrective action to the district.

Bid opening dates are specified in the bid cycle attachment. All bids arriving after the scheduled date and hour will be returned unopened. The responsibility for timely delivery rests solely with the bidder.

Statements for all foods and supplies shall be submitted monthly in duplicate. Payment will be due 30 days from the date of the statement.

Awards will be made to the lowest bidder whose bid conforms to specifications and consideration given to qualities of the articles, the purpose for which the articles are required, time required for delivery, and approved brands where indicated.

Bidders must submit a copy of their current licensed certificate issued under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA) with their first bid. Only licensed vendors are eligible to bid.

If the successful vendor fails to comply with bid specifications, the St. Tammany Parish School Board shall give thirty 30 days written notice to the successful bidder to render satisfactory service. At the expiration of thirty 30 days, if the unsatisfactory conditions have not been corrected, the contract may be canceled.

The St. Tammany Parish School Board reserves the right to conduct a site visit/inspection of the low bidder's warehouse/facility before making an award.

Any protest to the award/rejection of a bid or proposal must be submitted in writing within one week from receipt of award/rejection letter.

Failure to comply with requirements such as submitting required certifications, the PACA license, or adhering to specifications may cause your bid to be nonresponsive or lead to disqualification.

The estimated value of this bid is $323,000. 00. This is an estimated value and St. Tammany Parish will not be held to this dollar value.
