The Austin Community College District (ACC) is seeking qualifications for a design-build project for rooftop solar arrays at the Highland Campus. The project involves a two-step selection process. The designbuild package must include, at a minimum: a 25-year warranty on PV modules, a 10-year warranty on inverters, a 2-year warranty on all other components, and a 2-year performance warranty on the complete system, according to the bid notice.
The award will be based on the best value to ACC, considering factors like technical competence, quality of qualifications, warranty, and understanding of tax credits, as stated in the bid notice.
Respondents will be evaluated based on experience, financial soundness, technical competence, past performance, and other factors, according to the bid notice.
ACC has calculated that $1,000 per day is a reasonable estimate of damages for the designbuild firms unexcused delay in achieving substantial completion by the substantial completion date, as stated in the bid notice.
