The contractor may be charged for the cost of reinspection if an inspection is suspended due to non-readiness or non-conformance. The government may obtain replacement services elsewhere and charge the contractor for any resulting excess costs during periods of contractor unavailability. The contractor may also be liable for additional actual damages to the government resulting from failure to perform.
The contract requires an initial inspection of all proposed aircraft, equipment, and personnel after contract award or renewal. This inspection is mandatory and conducted by the AOM Technical Inspector. Contractors who have not been inspected but are requested for use should immediately contact the AOM Technical Inspector to schedule an inspection.
Failure to meet minimum aircraft requirements, provide required documentation, or comply with safety management system (SMS) requirements can lead to an offer being removed from consideration. Non-compliance with contract terms, poor performance evaluations, or failure to actively participate in task order competitions may result in offramping from the IDIQ contract.
