The City of Oceanside invites sealed bids for restroom improvements at the Oceanside Mission Branch Library. The work includes demolition, framing modification, installation of finishes, and replacement of fixtures. Bids must be received by 10 am on October 19, 2026. The guarantee period shall be in effect for three hundred and sixty five days thereafter. The guarantee period shall begin on the date on which the work of improvement for this public works agreement is accepted by the agency, or the date of recordation of the notice of completion, whichever is earlier, and shall be in effect for three hundred and sixty five days thereafter.
The agency shall award the contract to the responsible bidder who has submitted the lowest responsive total bid amount. if the agency determines that it is in the agency's best interest to award the contract, a notice of award shall be issued and sent to the responsible bidder which has submitted the lowest responsive total bid amount as determined by the agency.
The contractor to whom the contract is awarded shall be required to possess a class b general building contractors license at the time the contract is awarded. the contractor to whom the contract is awarded shall be required to possess a b general building contractors license pursuant to business and professions code section ****, pursuant to business and professions code section **** at the time the contract is awarded.
Liquidated damages for failure to complete the work within the contract time are in the sum of two thousand dollars $2,000 per consecutive day. the liquidated damages for failure of the contractor to complete the work within the contract time set forth in subsection 1. 3. 4 and section 6, notice to proceed are in the sum of two thousand dollars 2, 000 per consecutive day in excess of the contract time.
A bidder acting as a prime contractor with an interest in more than one bid shall have all such bids rejected and be disqualified. in the event that any bidder acting as a prime contractor has an interest in more than one 1 bid, all such bids shall be rejected, and the bidder shall be disqualified.
