Sealed bid proposals are solicited for hauling grit, screenings, and debris from the wastewater treatment plant. Bids are due by June 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM. A pre-bid walkthrough is available by contacting operations. The service requires 30 cubic yard containers, with exchange within 30 minutes. The contract period is from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2028. The city reserves the right to split the bid. Bidders must submit pricing for all items and years if the bid is all or none.
Bids must be received in the purchasing office prior to 3:00 PM on June 9, 2026. The contract commences on July 1, 2026, and continues for up to two years, unless terminated prior to June 30, 2028. The container must be hauled within 48 hours of receiving the request.
Payment for hauling grit and screenings and other debris will be on a per load basis. All invoices must be submitted within sixty 60 days from the time of delivery of goods or services or the completion of projects.
The contract shall be awarded to the lowest, most responsive, and responsible bid. The city reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, or parts thereof, and to waive any irregularities which do not materially affect the bid document or otherwise conflict with statute or ordinance.
Bidders may be required to submit a statement of qualification and provide satisfactory evidence that they have been regularly engaged in the business and are reasonably familiar therewith, and that they are fully prepared with the necessary capital, materials, and machinery to complete the work or to furnish the materials contracted for to the satisfaction of the city.

Proposals that do not meet the all or none requirement may be disqualified. Failure to submit an original bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check for bids over $100,000 will result in disqualification. Changes made to terms and conditions by the bidder may result in disqualification.
