The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation is seeking bids for the rehabilitation of a home in Adair County. The deadline for bids is July 18, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Bids can be submitted by fax, email, or hand delivery. Indian preference will be given to bidders who provide proof of current certification from the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO). The successful bidder must comply with tribal rules and regulations and TERO requirements. The project must be completed within 15 working days. Liquidated damages will be applied for extensions. The
contractor must provide insurance certificates, and other required documents within 3 days of notification of award. Davis-Bacon wage rate ****, modification number 0, publication date **** applies to this project. Bidders are responsible for any and all costs associated with the preparation and submission of bids. The
contractor/subcontractor agrees to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) instructions to bidders for contracts, representations, certifications, and other statements of bidders, and general contract conditions for small construction development contracts. The Buy American provisions apply to iron, steel, and manufactured goods used in the project. Bidders can visit the job site to familiarize themselves with the work. Payment will be made in two payments. The
contractor must have all fees and paperwork submitted to TERO for a contract purchase order to be considered fully executed. The responding
party certifies that they are not debarred, suspended, or ineligible for the award of contracts by any federal agency or Indian tribe. The responding
party must provide immediate written notice to the HACN if, at any time prior to contract award, the person learns its certification was erroneous when submitted or has become erroneous by reason of changed circumstances. A drug-free and tobacco-free workplace policy applies.
