The project involves replacing the
roofs of Muir Beach Quarters 2 and 11. The period of performance is 90 days after notice to proceed. The contractor is responsible for verifying quantities, measurements, and existing site conditions. A site visit is strongly encouraged. The contractor must submit a construction schedule, a list of subcontractors, evidence of liability insurance and workers' compensation, and a waste management plan, at least one week prior to the preconstruction conference. The preconstruction conference will cover roles, responsibilities, park rules, jobsite safety, work plan, schedule, coordination of subcontractors, traffic control, labor laws, modifications, payments, payroll reports, contract time, liquidated damages, contractor performance evaluation, and other relevant topics. Progress meetings will be held at regular intervals. Submittals must be in electronic format and must be coordinated with other activities. A site-specific safety plan must be submitted before work begins. Quality control daily reports must be submitted. The contractor must comply with all federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations. Additional documents required include a schedule of values, baseline schedule, and construction schedule updates. The contractor must meet with the contracting officer to verify availability of qualified personnel, review and finalize construction activities, review baseline schedule comments, and review procedures for updating the schedule. The contractor must also designate an authorized representative responsible for the construction schedule.
